ABOUT FILM BAZAAR

A significant event on the South Asian calendar, Film Bazaar is designed to address present-day needs of filmmakers in the realms of production and distribution. From 2007 onwards FB is a converging point for buyers and sellers of film rights the world over. FB is aimed at facilitating sales of world cinema in the South Asian region and the promotion of Indian Cinema in the international domain.

FB 2011 saw 635 delegates from across 40 countries with country delegations from Australia, Canada, and Israel. FB continued its partnership with international establishments such as Binger Filmlab | Netherlands, Cinemart | Netherlands, Festival Scope | France, Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) | USA, Moscow Business Square | Russia, Prime House | Germany, Screen Producers’ Association of Australia (SPAA), Screen International | London (UK), and formed a new association with the Busan International Film Festival and Asian Project Market | Korea. Besides the ones mentioned earlier, national partners also included 1takemedia.com, Indiantelevision.com, Co-optex and Tamil Nadu Tourism.

The recently concluded fifth edition was held from November 24-27, 2011 at the Goa Marriott Resort India. Film Bazaar is organised by the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) annually.

The sixth Film Bazaar will be held in November 2012. The dates will be released shortly.
